About Radon Mitigation Sioux Falls
Locally owned, working out of Sioux Falls, serving Minnehaha and Lincoln counties plus a regional radius that reaches Brookings, Madison, Vermillion, Yankton, Mitchell and Watertown. Two install crews, one office, no franchise fee baked into your quote.
Where the experience comes from
Before starting this company in 2014, Dale spent nine years running radon measurement for a home inspection outfit, which meant setting and retrieving several hundred test kits a year across every housing type Sioux Falls has: the pre-war block foundations near Whittier and All Saints, the 1970s split-levels along Southeastern, the poured-wall ranches out past Louise, and the new builds pushing south into Harrisburg and Tea. Reading that many results in that many basements teaches you which houses are going to be difficult before you walk down the stairs.
A note from Dale
I got into this sideways. I was pulling test kits for an inspector and I kept running into the same thing, which was people getting quoted $900 by one guy and $2,400 by the next guy for the identical house, and nobody explaining why. So I got certified, bought a used van and a core drill, and started doing it myself out of a garage on the east side. The thing I still care most about is that the post test is included and the guarantee is on the invoice. If a system does not get your house under 4.0, you did not buy a system, you bought a pipe. My cousin Marcus came on in 2018 and Trevor a few years after that, and we still stock two fan models on both trucks because guessing on fan sizing is how people end up unhappy. We do not install on Sundays. Marcus coaches out at the IcePlex and that is the day.

Certified, and here is how to check
South Dakota does not require radon contractors to be licensed or certified. That is not a technicality, it is the actual state of the law, and it means a badge on a website is worth exactly nothing on its own. The state's own DANR radon page handles this by pointing residents to two national directories instead: the National Radon Proficiency Program at nrpp.info and the National Radon Safety Board. Search any contractor you are considering, us included, before you agree to anything. Certificate of liability insurance is available on request, and asking for it is a reasonable thing to do.
The big names, and being honest about them
You will run into national and regional operators around Sioux Falls: SWAT Environmental, National Radon Defense dealers, foundation repair companies that added radon as a service line, and a handful of home inspectors who install on the side. Some of them do good work. What we would say is that a foundation company's radon crew is usually the newest crew in the building, and a franchise quote carries costs that have nothing to do with your basement. Get two or three bids, ask each one what fan they intend to use and why, and see who can answer.
Everything we do
Radon mitigation system installation, radon testing and measurement, post-mitigation verification, radon fan replacement and system repair, finished basement routing, crawl space vapor barriers and sub-membrane systems, sump crock sealing, passive system activation, new construction rough-ins for builders, commercial and multifamily mitigation, radon in well water treatment, and system inspections on houses you are about to buy.
Service area details are on the locations page, which covers the metro towns and many more cities across eastern South Dakota.

Closing was in nine days and our test came back at 11. Dale had Marcus out the next morning and the whole thing was done and retested before the walkthrough. It cost $1,450, which was less than the two other bids we had.
Guys were late by about forty minutes on install day, which annoyed me because I took the morning off work. Trevor called ahead to say so, knocked fifty bucks off, and the system has held at 1.9 for two years now. I would still use them.
